Is Your Portfolio Below $1,000,000? Reset it.
With the markets dropping, many portfolios are below $1,000,000, and one of the most popular requests from members is to reset portfolios to $1,000,000. We’ve done this on an ad-hoc basis when the requests come in.
We’ve decided to automate this so you can reset your portfolio yourself. Just look for the “Reset Portfolio” link next to your portfolio total.

In response to a few questions about the portfolio reset feature, I would like to make sure that two things are clear:
1. You now have the option to reset your portfolio if you want to; it is not a mandate. We do not reset your portfolio for you.
2. You can reset your portfolio only once during a 3 month period. This is meant to prevent people from resetting their portfolios whenever they lose money. After all, you wouldn’t learn very much about investing that way.
Please let us know if you have any more questions about this.

Hey Brendan!
I just want to check to be sure - - - - - if I hit the reset button by mistake, is there an additional confirmation button?
Thanks!

NoProblem,
There is confirmation page to make sure you don’t reset by accident.

does it effect the money we make every month?

If you reset your portfolio, you will be removed from all contests and the system will automatically try to rejoin the contests that you had joined previously, using the new portfolio. However, if the sign-up period is past, then you will not be able to rejoin the contest. This includes the Monthly Performance Contest, so any one who reset their portfolio in the last two days will not be able to receive earnings for October performance.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any more questions.
